The First Teacher of the Child in School

Early Childhood Educator is the first teacher of the child in school. We are the one who see the students as their teacher in their first year of being a student. We are the one who give them so much trust on many things and more. As an early childhood student now that we are in our practice ground for teaching, I observe a lot of what an Early Childhood Teacher dos inside the classroom and it helps me to understand and get some help from them and advice that I can use in the future. Some of the things that an early childhood educator do is teaching kids. They are the one who teach them things that the students’ needs to understand in their first year of schooling, like understanding letters, numbers, shapes and many more. One of it also is that ECE teachers also prepares videos and songs for their routine before and after the class for the student to motivate inside the classroom. They are preparing and creating a creative and colorful instructional material for their students which they give them so much effort on it. ECE educators also needs to have a long patience, because they are teaching students there are so many things that can be happen like the students will always ask you a question on what color of the book they will get on their bag, what page of the activities that they will answer, what things they will color on the activities and how they will do it. Also, as ECE educator we will experience to have a student who has a disability, in this kind of situation we need so much passion on our job because this is not easy to do but if we know what we will do, that will help us to help the students to learn perfectly. Being their first teacher of the child in the school challenge us as a teacher, because this is their first year of learning we must need to think critically what the things we can do to help the students grow better with a guidance for us and help us them to develop as a better individual.

  4. I think being an early childhood teacher is really hard to do since it requires a lot patience, courage and should be responsible. Handling childrens is not easy especially at their young age. You becoming their teacher is also you becoming their parent inside the classroom. And fortunately you're handling it very well.

  6. This is really inspiring. I remember when I was just a kid in school, my teachers used to teach us with so much discipline by using violence. I am glad that are future educators are utterly passionate with their jobs. The way you handle the kids are refreshing to know, considering the fact that childhood educators are the first teachers that build the children's perception about school. Keep it up, Ma'am!
