Why Teaching?

When I was a kid, I always use back of our door as a blackboard and use some chalk to write something on it. I always asked my friends to play teacher and student role and imagine that our house is the classroom. I always get the things of my mom that represents her a teacher like a book, her red pens, class record and many more. This is one of the reasons why I choose teaching as my dream course because it is what I want since I was a kid, it is the reason for me to learn and study more about this kind of job. Second is because my mom is a teacher, there are many people saying that some of the students that pursue teaching, one of their reasons is because their parents are teachers also, and for me this is true. My mom was a teacher and she teach students 16 years now it may be the reason for me as a kid why I love to play teaching before. Third reason is because I love to see the students grow because of me, I love to see students remembering me when they become adult and tell some story about their life, I love to see them applying their learning from me and use it in their everyday lives and lastly because I love to see them pursuing their dream because that is what happening also on me now. There are many people saying Why Teaching? You can't be rich on that job, there are no money in teaching. Yes, you can't be rich as what you want, as what you imagine but you are rich with love from your students, parents and your co- teachers. I choose this job because this is what I love and doing what you love is the reason why I'm happy to live now.

  1. As a son of a teacher, I also agree with your reasoning. Teaching is not really about money, it is about the passion in helping kids to learn and become better individuals. I wish you good luck in your chosen career.

  8. One thing about pursuing a certain career is that one must be passionate to their chosen field. In this generation where people's judgement are still stigmatized, it was so hard to let your desires burn with passion. Thank you so much for pursuing what your heart really desires; to serve and embrace the knowledge you have for the kids. I hope that you'll succeed more in life and that you'll burn more the flames of passion you have with your career!
